I'm trying to record vocal but get an annoying digital hiss/buzz type sound , I can here it flair up even more when I move the mouse.

it disappears when I shut down the music programs (abelton 8) and the mic sounds nice a clear with no noise (checked it on garage band but the same thing happens)

I've tried unplugging the lap top power supply but that does nothing. (mac book pro)

I'm using a AKG phantom powered condenser plugged into a Lexicon Lambda

any ideas team ?

cheers Ridge

try changing the sample reate of your latency. i had the same problem when i started out but that was because i was using dual monitor and then fixed it buy using one monitor ever since then i have never had problems.

I believe your Lexicon is USB powered and your USB port may not be supplying enough power. I would say try a different USB port, but you may not have that option on a laptop. Possibly you can get a powered USB hub to try.

try muting your onboard line in / mic in / microphone if possible.

I would say something like izman is saying or maybe its a driver issue. You may want to try reselecting the driver for your interface in ablton or uninstall and reinstall the driver completely.

Cool thanks Guys ill got try out your suggestions and get back 2 you's

also check for a loose rattler in the studio...

It's possible... :laughings:
