Anyone had any joy with these? Is the card too good for just a electro drum kit, vox, bass and guitar? Or would any less expensive cards so the job? Card will be used on an Ibook. cheers!

There's nothing too good, especially when you're recording vox. Most of the time vocals and acoustic instruments require more attention and better gear than all the electronic stuff. MBox is a good purchase because it comes with its own software, decent mic-pres and plugins. Pro Tools Le is pretty stable on Macs. It's also a plus that you can take your projects to many pro studios that run Pro Tools for mixing etc...

I heard someone say " It's too expensive " " It's 2 ch "
but you will have protool LE and you can do something easier.
