digi002 rack makes a LOUD screeching noise

ok so i put together a bantam patch bay and 1RU mic panel on my rack, and also added a samson s-phone headphone amp and normaled all inputs and outputs through the bantam patch bay.

now when i playback anything in pro tools, after i pause it or stop it, i get a REALLY LOUD SCREECH! almost deafening, no matter how low the volume is. now i've tried unplugging all connections in the digi002 (thinking it may something with the patch bay because its the only thing i've added or changed) so that the only things plugged in were the firewire cable, adat cable going to my digimax lt, and the two monitor outputs. still screeches!

its really making me worry! any ideas? please help!

if everything but the monitors is disconnected.
it may be internal routing...

like maybe your bussing an effect back to it's self or something?

open a new session and import something, any thing.......... hell, make it a green day song, it doesn't matter.

and if it still happens, then you may need to call somebody.

(know protools, but not the digi 002 specifically)

oh, and just for the fun of it.....
disconnect the monitors, and see if it happens with headphones.
