I think they're probably similar. I have a digi001 and have looked at other products. I think the 002 is very good, as is the Motu, the only thing the motu wont do is take a protools project that you've been working on in a different studio, and open it.

The MOTU gets the thums up by everyone, so I won't say it isn't great... It all depends if you find working with Pro Tools worth the m oney.
