I use them for all my recordings... Im still waiting for my new pre to come from Davisound.....

Optimal?, awesome?, deadly?, sweet?... Definately not...

But they aren't "shit"... THAT much I can tell you!
 
never used 'm only heard about 'm... as i said. but there is only one right?

bottom line!

They are what they are....a pair of mic pres that are included on a 1000 dollar sound card/break out box.

Again, they won't compare to a NEVE but if thats all you got then use them.

I think people are so mis conscrude (is that a word) that all they have to do is buy one unit and never buy another piece of friggin' gear again. Ain't gonna happen folks.

Eventually you will own a nice pre, a comp, and mic that you won't part with, no matter what you record on.

My whole point was the previous post. why is everyone so concerned with the pre's when they are really buying a ad da converter. Didn't mean to trash the pre's on the card, hell i would be glad if i had one of them cards...

ps, however, about the all-in-one box; I like the idea more e, systems like paris or those akai and stuff 24 track hardware machines are the way to go... all in one , no weak components in the chain, oh yeah they cost about 2.5x more hehehe
 
i thought there were 8 pres in the digi 001?! shit! that means i'll have to get either a killer mixing board or a bunch of pres (probably both). i think i'll just say fuck it and get a 24-track hd recorder and a good mixer (when i have the money, that is). more professional (at least the looks) and probably more reliable.
