digi 001

Im thinking abaut getting a digi 001 off ebay. So will pro tools 7.3 work with it?
I already have the M box. I just want more channels, the cheaper way.

according to digidesign's site there the 001 is no longer supported by 7.3. how completely evil of them. anyway such is life. just run an older version of pro tools for it. only big new feature in seven anyway is midi and it sucks.

ummmm, riiiiiiiight....i'd have to disagree with you there. of course, do you even have PT or are you just making stuff up?

adamki, the last version to work with the 001 was 6.4.1. They discontinued it a long time ago when they brought out the 002. If you are just looking for a cheap way to record tracks and don't care about any fancy new features or about being compatible with upgrades, then the 001 might work well for you. Otherwise, I might try and save up to get a 003.

Thanks bennychico11, I think im going to wait. I have other ways to record more tracks, then shoot them into pro tools. I have the m box with 7.3. I thought that was to good to be true. The 001 are going for $200.00 I was just going to get a ADA converter and some more OK pres and be happy for around thousand.
