I am about to put my 12 gauge against the side of my computer and blow it's silicon sky high.
I am using a M-Audio DiO 2448 card. The main programs I use are Cubase 5.1 R1, Sonic Foundry's ACID Pro 3.0, Sound Forge XP 5.0,
and Vegas Video 3.0.
I get good SPDIF out of the card when using the Sonic Foundry stuff, but have only been able to get analog out when using Cubase - the SPDIF outs do nothing from Cubase. So I read that if I am going to use the card with an ASIO program like Cubase, I need a different driver for the card. So I install the driver that I need, and Cubase freaks out - crashes - can't get to the point where I can find out if the SPDIF out works now or not. And now I can get no sound out of the Sonic Foundry stuff.
So I changed the driver back to the original and I am back to the same old thing - SPDIF outs into my mixer are great for the SF stuff, and Cubase digital out is nowhere to be found.
Can anyone penetrate the gates of sound card hell and lend me a hand?
