Diefference between Soyo Dragon Ultra and Platinum?

What is the difference between the Soyo Dragon Ultra and the Soyo Dragon Ultra Platinum that you can find on Newegg.com. there is a $30 difference that I don't know where it is, any tips?
 
Yes they do,but most of the good driver updates are better loaded from their Taiwan site,and their tech support is virtually non exisitant.My Dragon had has a few snafus that have yet to be resolved.In particular the Cmedia sound chip wont work with XP despite having the XP drivers loaded..:)
 
Imecho, what is the Cmedia sound chip, because I plan on getting a Dragon and work with XP on recording...:confused:
 
The Platinum has this that the other one does not:

-Supports High-speed USB 2.0 ports (4 ports)

-Platinum - Special PCB color with heat dissipation effect and a unique color to show off!

I don't know abotu the color thing and heat dissipation, they don't seem do be worth the $30 difference, maybe the usb 2.0 ports could...but what could these be of any use for me?
 
Recheck the url that I posted. The ultra has the USB 2.0 ports as well.

I'd say that in the end it's just the different PCB color. Forget the heat dissipation bullshit. Like if an ultra would get too hot... You're paying $30 for something you can't see in an ordinary case.
 
yeah, I was thinking the same thing, the color and the dissipation thing is just BS.;)
