I have a Black Beauty 6 x 14, and I use a piece of moon gel to calm the overtones just a bit. It sounds most excellent. If I got a die cast hoop for the top how would this help/hurt the sound?
I just picked up a LM400 Ludwig Supraphonic 6 x 14 yesterday as well. Would this be a better candidate for die cast hoops? Or should I get em for both?
Also, I'm assuming you don't need die cast hoop for the bottom? The triple flanged hoop will be good enough? Or am I wrong here?
