Did Shure Steal HR's "Big Mic Thread"?

Maybe "steal" is too harsh a word; "borrow from", "appropriate", "use as a template", "copy", "lean heavily upon"?

It sure looks similar and it came out about 3 years after the "big mic thread". They coulda at least thanked HR. Here's a link to their pdf:

When we created that thread, we said it was for anyone to use, but some thanks from Shure to everybody's efforts here would have been kinda nice.

Hmmm. I dunno, the first 15 or so pages (with the individual instrument techniques) look like an update of their micing guide, which predates the big thread. The bit on stereo micing seems newer, but I'd source it more to DPA's microphone university. The bit about capsule design looks a bit more suspicious, but then they do know that stuff, so they could have generated it independently.
