diable a sound card

how do i diable my built in sound card on my toshiba laptop (windows vista) and conect my usb sound card? If its in bios where do i find it

In XP its in the control panel, Sound and Audio Devices and you just change to what you want.

If you are using a multitrack program you can typically select the soundcard you want to use for recording and not affect which soundcard plays system tones, etc.

If your sound card is an internal Sound controller then you can also go into the Bios and disable it....
