I know this is a rough demo, but....the mix is a bit loud piano wise. I could live without the f-word which I think really detracts from any song (IMHO/YMMV).....grn said:

thanks! yes I did used to post stuff from my band and I'm actually working on a solo record now. I'm not working with the band at the moment (though we're still friends and they may play on a few tracks) but even if it was a band effort, I think it would sound a lot like this solo record. I wrote and recorded all the songs for the band anyhow, save for the percussion parts. it was basically just me doing the writing, recording, playing, singing, promoting, booking, etc.
the band did get played on mtv a couple of times and we did an east coast tour (which was great fun) to promote our second cd which is available for free streaming on our website (escapevelocity.com). I'm not sure if I'll be working with them in the future or not. sometimes life takes over or in my case... slaps you in the face. but hopefully good music will come of it.

i liked that piece quite a bit. sounds like you might do well on your solo project. i wouldn't change anything about it.

Very hunting! You should definitely work seriously on this one.
Try not to make only one version because I think this one might sound good in many different ways.
