-Sorry for the long post ;)

I have been using a Boss BR-600 to record practice sessions and stuff but the more I get into this I'm finding that I'd like to be able to record and especially edit on my PC. I have a licensed copy of Reaper and Jamstix but I need an audio interface that will allow me to do guitar, bass and vox. I tried the original MBox a while back but I didn't really like that. I probably could have learned to deal with the latency better but I got annoyed with it and ended up selling it. I have a PODxtl for guitar and bass but I like to leave that in the basement hooked to the PA. I don't have a condensor mic yet but I will probably buy one eventually so 48v phantom power would be a good thing. Okay, to make a long story short I'm looking for something like a small dedicated mixer that I can leave connected to my PC with mic pre-amps +48v and some type of link to the PC and my studio monitors. I have a nice pair of M-Audio BX8's that aren't even hooked up to my PC at the moment! I end up listening to stuff through el cheapo computer speakers half the time. So does anyone have any ideas??? Is there some type of small mixer that I could hook to my PC for recording / monitoring? I really only need a few inputs. Good mic preamps XLR and Hi-Z 1/4" inputs would be nice.

Thanks,
Rich

I would give the Mackie Onyx stuff a good look. If you INSIST on marrying preamps to your interface, these won't do much harm.

Dont use the POD, and also the pre amps in the Boss BRs are so dam bad.
Im sure the pre amps in the Mbox are pretty good, might be presonus.
Why didnt you like it? Was it Pro Tools y9ou didnt like rather than the Mbox?
