I was wondering if anyone might know any background info. about Depeche Mode's recording techniques over the years. Basically the main thing I am curious about is whether their parts were recorded by hand-to-keyboard or were sequenced. I know those guys have excellent timing and accuracy (as seen on the 101 and songs of faith and devotion videos), but it seems that it would be quite difficult to produce such seemed accuracy in a less forgiving environment of 0 reverb and high fidelity synth sounds. It seems almost impossible by hand. But maybe that is what it is to be a professional...
