Demo Recording Set Up

I be useing Tascam Porta 02 Ministudio 4-track recorder
Audio-Technica ATH-M2X Stereo Headphones
2,mics and some dual cassette recorder
I like to kown is go for recording other bands or just myself or what you set ups are to record demos.

Don't use the headphones for monitoring. Use a pair of stereo speakers, preferably mixing monitors. Otherwise it looks like you have a good basic setup for recording yourself or other musicians.

Tannoy Reveals, Alesis Point Sevens, Event 20/20s. It depends on how much you are willing to spend. Remember, mixing monitors are designed for studio use and will not be ideal for listening to a finished product. They allow you to produce a recording that will sound consistently good on a variety of systems.

Those are good, inexpensive monitors, but they cost more than CJ's recording unit.
I recommend he uses regular home speakers for now, until he upgrades a bit from the Tascam 02

If you are going to BUY speakers I recommend you to buy proper ones at once. Otherwise you'll need to chuck them when you upgrade your other stuff. Alway buy things are are slightly "above" the rest of your stuff in sound quality and capabilities. Otherwise you end up with a lot of stuff that all limit you, and you need to buy everything new at once...

But you can get out of buying new speakers buy using a pair of descent home stereo speakers if you have some. Or you can buy them second hand dirt cheap from somebody that has no use for them ($50 bucks tops). I got mine for free. (Actually the only part of my stereo setup I payed for is the CD. ;) And it all sounds DARN good. :) )
