delta44, sp bx5, win xp

aight, i got delta44, sp bx5, win xp...

now i want to run my 3/4 outs to another reciever (so that I can listen through headphones too).

my problem is, I can't get any sound to come out of the 3/4 outs. How do I make it work? haha. Also, I'm using ntrack....

(and yes, it's fine to have the exact same thing coming out of 1/2 as in 3/4)!

I think you have to change something in N-Track. Under preferences you should be able to select 3/4 for an output device. I have the same rig at home but I use Out 3/4 to monitor HW 1/2 while tracking (1/2 is the master bus of N-Track) That way my pres go directly to the Delta and I have my mackie to control the monitoring.

I can route through the mixer if I must, but even so I'd still like to use all 4 outs! haha.

Does the Delta 44 have a control panel? If it's similar to the one for the Audiophile, you have to make sure the routing is set up properly for the outputs you want to use. I.e., what logical device is connected to the 3/4 hardware output?

Check the Patchbay/Router tab on the control panel. Make sure that H/W out 3/4 is connected to WavOut 3/4.

look here is some more info.

on my control panel sound options, I have:

SOUND RECORDING
SOUND PLAYBACK
VOICE RECORDING
VOICE PLAYBACK

and in all of them, there is the option to do all of these delta related things:

M Audio Delta 44 1/2
M Audio Delta 44 3/4
M Audio Delta 44 Multichannel

Also, under device preferences of ntrack, there are all those options too (all 3!). I can choose as many as i want to be highlighted, and put a priority number to them. However, I STILL can't get ANYTHING to come out of the 3/4 outputs!!! (the VU meters in the delta 44 control panel won't ever light up!)!

Please! hahaha...honestly, I can't really record until i get some outs out of those, cuz i will have no headphones (i COULD unplug my monitors while i record, but it's a hassle, and it SHOULD work anyway! that's why i bought the 44!) haha..
