I finally picked up a Delta1010LT but I'm experiencing some pops and clicks in recordings.
Here's my system:
P4--2.4G
1.5G RAM
XP Pro
40G HD for OS (7200)
120G HD for audio files (7200)
Sonar 3.1
existing SoundMAX soundcard (I did notice within my system info that the soundcards share the same IRQ)
After the initial install, I tested all the inputs to make sure they were working. They all were, with nominal pops.
Since then, I got the latest driver for the card and re-ran the profiler within Sonar.
Additionally I've toyed with the latency setting within the Delta control panel and the buffer setting within Sonar.
But the problem is still there; unless my ears were getting tired, it sort of seemed like there were "voids" in the audio
rather than audible pops.
So, am I just to the point of finding a balance between the two sliders to eliminate this, or are there additional things
that I should look for?
Thanks for all replies.
