What happens when they dissappear? Are you recording? Only at bootup...?
every now and then, when I boot up, I get that message that goes something like "new hardware found...search for drivers?" and I just hit "cancel". I then restart and the problem's gone. It's a minor annoyance I've never really taken the time to track down.
