Hi,

I have the opportunity toi trade my audiophile for a Delta 66 with an omni box. Is the omni box really good is it better then the audio buddy? And is the 66 better the 2496 I have now?

It isnt a straight trade I paid $235 total for my 2496 and an audio buddy and this is about $100 more? I only need to give him the difference since mine are new. I have tested his and they work good. Just don't know enough about it to know if its a significant upgrade, or not any big deal?

I figure monetarily it is a good idea but I mean in qctuqal euipment will I see a difference. Either int he preamp or the card itself:) I really don't need a 1010 because I only record 1 instrument at a time? Is there another reason that one would be good?

Thanks everyone!!

Mat

check it

Yes, the upgrade you are looking into would be a good idea. The features that the Omni has are unreal for the price. Check out www.m-audio.com and look at what you're getting. Go for it!

Hi,

Nobody has another opinion? Do you all believe that the omni and a delta 66 card are better then the audiophile 2496 and an audio buddy. At least a $100 worth better?

Now I don't need a lot of ins so is there a reason the 1010 might be better? Or not? Please anymore opinions from anyone would be great:) And thanks for what I have gotten actually it is helpful just want a little more before I pull the trigger. You have all got incredibly helpful opinion:) Thanks

I have the delta 66 and omni. I feel the m-audio pre's to be very good and I like the convenience of a front panel access. Especially useful are the two headphone outs. Your audio buddy would not be wasted, you can use it with the straight ins on the omni.

The pad switch to control input levels on the two pre's are another thoughtful feature.

I'd go for it:)
