After a couple of months of trying to decide where to begin my new adventure into PC-based recording I made a decision: The M-Audio Omni Studio! I figured it was the way to go considering it includes all I need to get going, familiarizing myself with all the jargon, etc.
Anyway, the setup works like a champ with my AMG 1GHz system save for one little glitch I can't overcome...
I haven't purchased any monitors for this unit, that's a few months down the road, so I decided to use an amplifier (tried headphones, too) just to get going. Everything works great except that all playbacks lag behind the actual input, quite a bit actually. If I use a guitar, I strum or whatever and the sound comes out eons after I've actually played it.
The documentation with the unit is, sad to say, a bit limited so I thought I'd turn to the experts.
I'm using the accompanying software (Logic Delta) since I haven't decided what else to go with, either Cubase or Cakewalk or something.
Any ideas????????
Thanks in advance for all assistance.
