i dont know about sis chipsets but there are so many different via chipsets that maudio and other soundcard companies are doing what they can (or what they feel like doing) to keep up.

For AMD, Nforce Chipsets are basically know in the audio realm as the way to go, the most compatible, and the most stable..!!!
