hi
I have the live! card and i am planing to buy delta 66.
will i be able to install them both amd use midi port of sb live! for example in gigasampler?
will the recordings be sync if I am recording audio through delta in playing midi with live midi out thgough my sampler?
will the tracks be in sync during recording audio through delta ins and midi through sb live midi in at the same time in cakewalk 90?

I hope so ..
thanks a lot

I have the same two cards in my system and I haven't noticed a problem yet. I use the midi input on the SBLive to trigger the softsynths and record everything in 24bit with the Delta while using Cubase. I was also trying to use the synth from the SBLive by running a plug from the out on the SBLive to one of the ins on the Delta but the volume level seems really low compared to the other levels coming out.

lukgier,

Just something to be aware of: I have a setup with the SB Live and the Delta 66. I am still trying to find an arrangement that works completely right. The problem is that the Delta seems not to like sharing an interrupt. The hard part is that with the architecture of PCI slots on the 440BX-based motherboard I have (an Abit BE6-II), you have really only one slot that you can get something on that won't share with something else unless you either disable the USB controller or the UDMA66 controller. I currently have the Delta 66 sharing with the AGP video card and that's given me the best results so far, but eventually it crashes if I run Cakewalk talking to both cards. For more details if you're interested I have a thread or two about this on both the cakewalk newsgroup and on the audioforums board (www.audioforums.com). I hope to have it resolved soon.
