I just installed a Delta 44 into my pc, Pentium 111 650mhz and 256 ram, and even playing back an mp3 makes the audio seriously slow and jarbled. I set the buffer level to the highest possible. This doesn't happen when the monitors are plugged into my SBLive- but I cannot use that for play back because the latency of the SBLive and the Delta 44 is way off, so my recordings dont line up.

Is this normal for my resources. My computer is only about 2 years old and I haven'thad any problems with it. I haven't even tried to multitrack with it, because I can't even play a mp3 without (what seems like) eating up all the cpu power.

Thanks
Chris

Do you use latest drivers for correct version of Windows?

Your computer is above minimum requirements, and I don't think that age of your hardware is to blame.

I had somewhat similar thing happen when I upgraded the system from Win 98 to 2000, and the soundcard from Audiophile to Delta. Audio was playing clean, but slow. I reinstalled Delta driver and that fixed the problem.

I just downloaded the newest drivers for Windows ME, but I'll try again, thanks
