Delta 44 & XP HELP!!!

Hey guys,

Just picked up the Delta 44 and am trying to install it on windows XP, not working properly... something about digital signal info. Do i need new drivers? PLEASE help quick I WANT TO START RECORDING!!! AHHHHHHH!!!!!

If its telling you the driver is not signed...you should be able to ignore it and install them anyway.
 
Thanks so much it worked, only it didnt install an icon to get into the soundcard controls. in fact i cand find a directory for the 44 to adjust its settings? help is appreciated and will be rewarded!!!!

It will be in your control panel
Start>Settings>Control Panel> M-Audio
 
That may work halfway but you won't be able to use the whole thing. I've tried mine on me/2000 and XP and you only get your 1 & 2 leaving your 3 & 4 in limbo. Your best bet is to say screw it and put 98se as your os. I've never had a problem and it always recognizes my delta no problem.
 
additional delta 44 question

Another 2 questions regarding the delta 44: "Dropouts" are occuring during playback (don't think I had any during record that I can remember).

1. What is the reason for this, and how can this be avoided/fixed?

By the way, since installing the 44, these dropouts occur even when I'm not recording or playing back recorded music. For example, using the internet I just had a brief (10-second) freeze-up, much like the dropout during recording.

2.Are these freeze-ups related to the dropouts also?

I read elsewhere in the postings that delta's drivers were inadequate, up to about a month or two ago. I just bought this card -delta- a week ago, and am assuming the drivers are the newer updated ones (the card was ordered from m-audio directly from a local music shop). HELP!
ps. That latency problem that the delta 44 had did get fixed, right?

I forgot to include the following info on the last posting/question I submitted regarding dropouts:

My system is
P4 1.8 G
256 memory
win. xp prof.
dual hard drives - 40 and 60 gig.
(40 gig of the 2nd drive partitioned for music storage exclusively)cakewalk pa 9
mackie 1604 mixer

It could be your buffer setting or a conflict. Go to System tools>system info and check the conflict manager.
Its funny how this issue keeps popping up because I use an audiophile that works flawlessly with Logic Audio with damn near 0 latency....I dont know why folks are having so many problems.
You can also check M-Audio's website for the latest driver to see if in fact its an update from what you currently have.
