Delta 44 vs. SB Live!

no i don't use midi. Thats why i've been thinking of switching to protools or cubase sx. I love logic but i only use the sequencing, effects, and recording. The rest is a pain in the ass.
 
If you're not recording MIDI then why not use something specificaly designed for pure audio? Vegas is the way to go. I'd even use Cool Edit Pro over the unnessecarily complicated MIDI oriented programs. Vegas pro is only $199.

I was going to bring this, but you beat me to it. I used to record with an SBLive! and now own a Delta44 and the difference is like night and day. The amount of noise with the SBLive is pretty noticeable - even with clean audio sources. The Delta44 is very quiet...

The cards are light years apart...
