I have my computer, now I am trying to make a final decision on what soundcard to get. Does anyone know exactly what software ships with the Delta 44. From the website the only software it "definitely" says comes with the 44 is Delta Logic control. Then it says that is might include some other titles? Anyone know exactly what comes with the 44?

It comes with random crap, which varies by date. Don't rely on the software bundle for anything. My Delta44 (which is up on ebay cause I upgraded to a Delta1010) came with Logic Delta, which sucks, a couple of virtual synths that weren't stellar, and a disk full of crippled or demo versions of software.

Slackmaster,
Do you think the Delta 44 is any good or is it just that the software it ships with is bad? I'm just recording my gospel group (4 simultaneous tracks- 3 vocals and a soundtrack) and don't need anything real fancy. If the 44 is alright, but the software is bad what free or cheap software will do what I'm trying to do.

To describe what exactly I want to do:
1. A good solid recording where everything is balanced (vocals and soundtracks).
2. A little effects- not anything I have to have (can use external mixer's built-in effects)
3. Ability to add a stack or two to each vocal.
4. Mixdown finished product and burn to CD.

The Delta 44 is a GREAT product! It's just that you shouldn't expect a $500 software bundle when you're buying a $230 card. Logic Delta would probably be workable for you as long as you're on Windows 98. Otherwise, you'll need some better (but cheap) software. Look into n-Track and Cakewalk Home Studio.

i just got a delta 44, came with the drivers, logic delta, and gigastudio or something.

havn't tried it out yet (waiting for new comp).

but if you just want cheap software, go with n-track - www.ntrack.com - i'll still be using that even though i have access to samplitude and logic.
