Delta 44 or Terratec EWS 88 D

Greetings!

I have fruityloops, cool edit and acid pro 4, and Sonar XL in the near future. I did a couple research on the 2 sound cards and now I am confused as hell and can't decide which sound card to go for between delta44 and terratec EWS 88 D.

what would you choose for my set up? your opion please.

The Terratec EWS 88 D only has digital inputs via ADAT lightpipe. Unless you have a digital mixer or preamps with optical outputs you're going to need the Delta 44.

Correct....and the Delta would be a great choice
 
I just got my Delta 44 today, i'll report how it works out =))
 
well, I have both (actually the delta 66...but close enough)...jitteringjim is correct about the digital I/O's of the Terretec.

But if you don't need analog I/O's I highly recommend the Terretec! It has worked flawlessly for me for about a year. It's great to have ADAT lightpipe available if you upgrade equip, or have a lot of "loaner" equip in your studio.

jitteringjim - The digital mixer is something i will definitely add to my home studio in the future, but not now. So correct me if i'm wrong, I won't be able to use the terretec sound card with the current set up. Do i get what you were saying correctly?

sbruce - could you please tell me if possible how do you comparing the 2 sound cards as far the sound quality concerns. my speakers are just ok pairs, 100 something in value, roland ... sorry can't remember the model name.
