Delta 44 compatibility with Winxp and an Abit kt133 Via chipset

I was curious if anyone had any exerience with the Via 133 chipset i have, or one like it, with a delta 44. Ive heard of compatablility issues with this combination, but i don't know if there has been a patch or a method for fixing it. Im planning on buying this card very soon after some research, so any help would be appriciated. i suppose i could get a new mother board, but that would dip into my monitoring speaker fund.

The closest I come is a Audiophile 2496 running on a KT333 chipset under XP. No pop & click problems, but plenty of problems (posted ni another thread) about getting it to play nice with my All-In-Wonder card.
