Hi all,

I'm having trouble getting audio out of my sound card. I go into Windows Control Panel to test hardware and in the Audio tab it recoginise it as default device in sound playback. However, in the sound recording section it is not recognised, the Volume and Advance tab not highlighted as well. I do see signal going thru the M-Audio control panel just not getting any sound. What am I doing wrong?

You wont be using the windows control panel for anything recording related, only playback. Recording will be done via whatever software you are using and most likely the ASIO driver, the audio control panel in windows is only used for how the OS deals with sounds

Yes... You recording software should have a hardware tab were you can enable inputs and outputs for recording and Playback this is probably were you need to set up the outputs for playback.....
