Delta 1010LT pre amps

A Delta 1010LT soundcard is on it's way to me.

I understand I can alter the jumpers on the two xlr ins to take a line level signal as opposed to mic. I have outboard pres which aren't great (DMP-3 and TL Audio 5050) but I'm guessing they're a step up from the 1010's pre's.

So if I set the jumpers to take +4dBu line level will this effectively bypass the onboard pres? I s'pose what I really want to know is will the signal be adversely affected going through outboard pre and then through the 1010's ins (set at line level).

congrats on the new sound card. I think that sounds right what you are trying to do but i havn't played with the 1010LT in a long time. There is usually good help on the m-audio website so when you get it, just peruse around to find what you need.
