Been a while since I posted on this board, glad to be back. I just ordered a Delta 1010 from Musicians Friend this morning, and am psyched to be getting it. Any one else have one, and can offer some reviews on it? From what I've read, it's a good piece of gear for the money. I'm not going super-high end with my set up, just enough to get a decent sounding recording.

If anyone's got one, or wants to tell me I just wasted my $400, let me know. I'd like to hear what real people have to say about the gear. I never believe what the reviews on the sites say, I'm convinced it's people who work for the companies posting reviews.

Thanks in advance.

Got it, use it, love it. M-Audio's customer service & tech support is the best in the biz.

I have 2.
For the money you cant beat them. They are good enough to last your ears a good 5 or so years before you will become ready to move up to the next level(sound wise). If you are not looking for Mastering quality convertors, they are very good.

And yes, there tech support is very good.
I am having some problems synching all my gear to Wordclock and they are patiently walking me down the road to an answer.

I cant imagine you being disappointed, virtually all programs and computer types play nice with it, no conflicts.

Excellent, that's what I was wanting to hear.

Any negative comments or feedback from you guys, or anyone else?

Those are down to $400? Not bad!

I've had mine a few years and I Think I paid like $600.

In that price range what is "better"...key word there "better".

I bought the 1010 at the time because I was doing some acoustic drums but for the past couple years I haven't done that. 8 in's is kind of overkill for me but I have my console and stuff all setup for my own tracking and monitoring and the 8 out's are convenient. I'm also using the S/PDIF with an amp modeller now.

You made a good decision. Some of the new Echo products look good but you won't get a 8 in 8 out for $400.

Well, technically it's $449.00, though I had a $50 gift certificate for a birthday gift I'd forgotten about. So I used that.

Plus, I bought it through my own MF affiliate program, so I saved $22.50 that way too. So, all in all, it end up costing me $387.50, which from what I've read, is well worth it. Even at $450 I haven't been able to find anything else that was PCI based for better. Or atleast based on reviews I've been reading for months, while I pondered this.

Me too!

I just bought one last night from Musician's Friend. I got the 1010LT though but I'm glad to see everyone likes the 1010. I hope my experiences are as good.
