MAybe I'm confused here. But why would you buy the 1010lt. You said you'd get a 8 in 8 out preamp. But I've never seen a preamp (or for that matter any serious recording equipment with the exception of tape in on mixers) that used RCA. You would need to put adapters on all your cables, and that would loose a lot of sound quality. Maybe I'm missing something , but that doesn't make much sense to me.

But I also have to say I love the delta soundcards. I had a 66 for a while and loved it. Sounded good, was simple to use. Great bargain.
ive asked m-audio....it would work fine

The 1010lt has 2 preamps on balanced xlr inputs. The other 6 inputs are unbalanced rcas

its so hard to get shit wit limited money
can sum1 help me pleaseeee

i can spend about 500 ... less would be great
i need a soundcard to record drums (preferabaly the 1010lt)
i also need a gOOd but not expensive mic pre....or a mixer with optical outs...
and then the basic things.....2 marshall mics, the stands, recording snake (from pre to the card)

can sum1 come up wit the right list so i dont get ripped off

Dude get yourself a mixer, like the Yamaha MG12/4. It's got 6 good quality pres. Add the 2 you get in the 1010lt, and you're recording 8 mics.
The MG12/4 will cost you $196, the 1010lt $220.

Mics, stands etc. you just acquire as you go along or check out Musiciansfriend. They have cheapish Nady drum micing kits that will get you started

thanks...that helped alot

Thats The Setup I Was Considering Upgrading To...because Of Limited Funds ...i Was Also Going To Add A 4 Channel Behringer
Comp/gate/limiter For About 120.00 Mainly For The Gate/limiter...but The 4 Buss Mixer Would Only Allow 4 Separate
Tracks Recorded Simultaneously Correct??unless I Has A Separate Preamp Or Something??

there's plenty free software gates and compressors that do the job a lot better than the Behringer stuff. I know, I own a behri composer. The gates are noisy, the compression is coloured and the limiter is useless.
