Delta 1010 Midi In LED

My Delta 1010 Midi In light flickers constantly when my keyboard is turned on - even if I'm not touching the keys. Is this normal?

depends on the keyboard.

I get it with my roland xp-10 but not with my other keyboard.

I think its perfectly normal.

Now if it would just quit playing those wrong notes I hit...

Check to make sure your modulation wheel is all the way off. It transmits data even when no keys are being struck.

If the lights on, something is coming into your delta which you are not aware of and may not want. If you do any MIDI recording, this could really be confusing if you get into any event editing.
