I suppose what you are talking about when you say you have a "Mackie analogue audio Console" You mean a Mackie mixing Board of some sort??

There are a few ways to connect a Mixing Board to a Delta 1010, The Most basic way would be to connect the "Record Out" Or "Main Out" on the Mixer into Channels 1 and 2 of the Delta 1010 but that doesn"t allow for very much versitility....

You can also Group inputs into different Busses (Sub,Monitor,Main,Ect) and output the busses seperately into the Delta 1010...
So you can group inputs 1 to 4 on the Mixer to the Sub buss and Inputs 5 to 8 on the Monitor buss and output the Sub into inputs 1 and 2 on the Delta and output the Monitor into inputs 3 and 4 on the Delta....

Also if the Pre amp chanels on the Mixer have ouputs which they probably do then you can output each of them into each seperate input into the Delta..
So if the Mixer has outputs from Channel 1 to 6 you can output to the Delta channels 1 to 6 ....

I guess the way you connect the Mixer to your Delta 1010 will depend on the Recording situation.....

Maybe if you told me what type of mixer you have and how many instruments you are trying to record at a time and how many Mics you have ect then I might be able to give you a better Idea of how to set it up.....

Cheers

Take a bunch of 1/4" stereo to dual 1/4" mono Y cables (or adapt other cables as needed) and plug into the channel inserts on the Mackie board. I -think- the left channel side of the Y is the output from the Mackie to the interface and the right channel side of the Y is the return from the interface, but I could be remembering backwards. Look it up in your manual to find out for sure.

Dear Minion and Dgatwood, I apreciated your info, it still a little blury (for me I'm a rookie), but keep going please. To give more details the console its a Mackie CFX12 mixer.Thank you one more time
