Alright I've been doing alot of research on this board and online and I've desicided on some gear I'm going to be purchasing:

-Shure KSM 32
-Pre sonus Firepod
-Krk RP5 Monitors
-Cables, pop filters...

I already own:

-Shure SM 58,
-Shure SM 57,
-Studio Projects B1
-Mackie 1202 mixer
-M Audio Audiophile 24/96

All that's left for me to deside is what I do for a computer. I'm doing this all through a Canadian store called Long and Mcquade, which I've purchased from before and have offered me really great service. They sell two brands of computers: Macs and Music XPCs. I've already ruled out Mac. Even though I love them, I can't afford the luxury.

I'm leaning towards Dell at the moment. I can get a much better computer, with a nice monitor, keyboard and mouse, for alot less money then it would cost for me to get an XPC. I could be pursuaded into buying an XPC if it were going to do the job better, but I did a search on the BBS and you folks don't seem to be in love with them.

Well long story short, I'm looking for some final advice on which way I should go: Music XPC or Dell. I want a system that is stable and reliable, and that lets me focus more time on that thing we often forget about... MUSIC!

Thanks to everyone for all your help.:D

P.S. I forgot to mention that I will be running Cubase LE to start but may upgrade in the future.

I'm no geek, but I do own a music XPC S2 which has not given me so much as a hiccup. Dead silent, small, powerful, and well priced if you consider the cost of silence cases, fans. etc. I could have built it a little cheaper for major pain in the ass. 80 gig HD for the OS, 120 gig HD for music files, 1 gig of ram, 3 gig Pentium IV processor, delivered silenced and configured for running Pro Tools. It has been worth every penny I spent on it in saved headaches.-Richie

Music XPCs are overpriced for what they really are - custom configured Shuttle PCs.
