When I record (for example) my guitar listening to the drums in any multitrack (cubasis, cakewalk, n-track...) program, the wavs are always delayed...and I have to slide it to sincronize...what's wrong ?

Which soundcard do you use? Are you using ASIO drivers (or something similar)? There is a lot that can be checked, buffer sizes and all of that, more than I fully grasp myself but latency is the keyword here.

I use a Soundblaster Audigy, with ASIO drivers. What can I try to do ?

Are you using Input Monitoring?

You probably want to turn it off, and go to some form of hardware monitoring. I don't think you can get the latency on an Audigy low enough to remove the delay. You need to be around 5ms or less latency.

I know from my own experience that the ASIO support for sblive and audigy, from the KX and APS drivers can give you very low latency, even in the 5ms region.
But hardware monitoring is a must imho for any situation. I wouldn't go for less especially since it's in general very easy to set up.

Sorry

Sorry Guys,

i didn't understand those messages completely... shoul I disable "input monitoring" ? How can I do it ?

thanks again
