Delay in MID

Hi,
I have a Vortex AU8810 soundcard. When I connect my Casio synthesizer via the MIDI cables, there is a slight delay before the soundcard's tones are heard. When I press a key on the synth, there is a little delay before the tones are heard. I beleive the wavetable feature is causing this problem. Any solutions? Thanks for your help

I'd try to uninstall and then reinstall the Midi Drivers for the card, I ran into a similar problem with external drum pads triggering sound fonts. It cleared up after I reinstalled the drivers. I believe there are two drivers that need to be installed. One in Multimedia and the other in Midi.
