Great prices are only as good as the service behind it. It does not matter how cheap something is if you pay for it and never get it. It's really sad to see all this happen, but was very easily avoided. All he had to do was ship the items people paid for, or at the very least stay on top of communicating with them.

I know a lot of you have been tring to contact me over the past few weeks. I just moved into my brandnew 300k house with everything but phone service. It took the phone company 2 weeks to get my phones up and working along with my DSL.

I spent 3 hours on the phone with Wharfedale and about 4 hours with Fedex getting all of these order straight. All order have shipped as of Friday and all Fedex claims have been resolved.

Sorry to put you guys through this.

I just wanted to say that one of my monitors went bad and Deepwater contacted me two days after I sent him an email and is sending a replacement tomorrow.

I can imagine he has a huge volume of email, yet he has responded to my subsequent emails daily and has taken care of the problem in a timely fashion.

I don't regret buying from him and I certainly appreciate his efforts.

I just got a call from my wife that my Wharfedales arrived this morning. Now I just gotta get through the day at work and past my son's T-ball practice tonight before I can unpack them and check 'em out. The lack off communication from deepwater for a couple of weeks was frustrating, but he appears to be back on track. He responded to my email yesterday quite promptly.

well.....congrats gonny.....i can see you now "come on son, no playing around after practice...get in the car now!" lol or atleast thats how i'd be

You know it, DR. I'm thinking of offering him candy for supper or something in order for him to want to rush home. :D

its pizza night....its sooooo pizza night..have it delivered

some more positive feedback for deepwater -

i received the 1st of my 8.2a's yesterday. the second should be waiting for me at home. deepwater came through for me. thanks!

I don't know deepwater from jack squat, but I know one thing, that he's hung up on bragging about his money.

Okay, deepwater, so you make >$100K/year, and you just bought a brand new $300k house, which BTW is not much in today's market, but I love how you love to throw those figures around on your posts. So, how much did your car cost? Maybe a $60K Mercedes, or something? $80K Hummer?

Jeez people I really don't think he was bragging....he is just celebrating.

Most of us post threads about our new gear because we are excited and want to share our enthusiasm...

I will never be able to afford a high dollar Ferrari or Porcshe but if I won one somhow you better believe I would post some pics of my new ride!

One or two comments is not enough to find someone guilty of bragging IMHO.

Some of you guys are like sharks smelling blood in the water ..... anything that moves is fair game to go on the attack.

My house cost under $80,000 seven years ago and is in a POS neighborhood but I am happy to have, shelter, food and electricity and I am happy that Deepwater was able to buy a new house.

That all depends on where you live Reel Person. I would think anyone would know that. Deepwater might live in a town with high property prices...and then again, he might not. This could mean the difference between a 1500 sq ft home and a 3500 sq ft home. You just never know until you know what real estate prices are like in the said area. That being said, you're quick to jump on someone. I'm not defending him, I'm just saying that prices vary everywhere you go.

definitely..myriad rocker is right. houses that cost $300k in the county are work $400-750k in the city and may be higher depending on what section of the city. hell having a house with the countryclub golfcourse as a backdrop automatically adds $50k

Look up property values in central Illinois. All pretty cheap...
BUT wages are significantly lower also... SIGNIFICANTLY!!!

yeap! so the plan is...find an expensive state, work for 10-20 years and live in a cheap place, then get a job and a house in north carolina or central illinois..or wyoming and you should be set.

a $300,000 house here is pretty nice....and he isnt far away in Georgia.......you just simply cannot compare houses in Cali versus houses dwon south price-wise.....you guys might be making more than us, but you are also paying more for everything......

on a side note, i hope everything is going good for ya Dave :)

I bought my house twelve years ago for $212,000. It's now worth about $700,000. So what does that tell you?

Obviously, Deepwater is excited about moving into a new home. Give the guy a break.
