If I wanted to make a certain vocal track on my mixing a "deep voice" effect, how or what effect should I look for?

I use Studio One 2 Professional.

I think you're looking for some sort of pitch shifting effect. Not pitch correction or autotune, but a plugin that will lower the pitch of your track per semitone.

Can you post an example of a song that has the type of effect you're looking for? Pitch shifting might not be your best option.

If you want to sound like Darth Vader, just go buy one of those Halloween costume mask/helmets - 'tis the season!

If you want a deep voice, the only real answer is to get someone who actually has a deep voice.

What's your definition of "deep" - people confuse pitch with richness/timbre a lot....

Many famous "deep" voices aren't particularly deep at all, they're just incredibly rich.

I know you can get octaver's for guitar, not sure if that'll work for voice

Yeah, those samples are definitely done via pitch shifting.

I've tried the Reaper plugin for pitchshifting (ReaTune? ReaPitch? - can't remember, I'm at work), but putting it an an octave or even a fifth down sounds like shit. Maybe that's the effect you want ...
