Deep acoustic song

The main thing that came to mind for me regarding the mix was I would have preferred to hear a more dry, intimate guitar sound. I assume that reverb-y sound is an aftertouch?

As for the song, to my ears that guitar part sounds a bit too busy to support a good vocal melody. But that's a personal taste thing, so don't take it the wrong way.

Theres a bit of reverb on the acoustic, it can definitely go a bit dryer.

Yeah that website is stupid lol. Changed the link, should be working now.

I made the acoustic pretty dry, added a tremolo'd electric just strumming subtle single notes to back up the overall tone of the song (because the acoustic does tend to be busy with the clicks and slaps). The only thing I'm iffy about now is the vocals, too loud, too wet? We were shooting for nice soft vocals, but hes a pretty powerfull singer haha.

This is one of the first mix's I'm fairly happy with. Give me some feedback as too what you think of it/what I could do to improve it, thanks! next on my agenda I'm gonna work on the guitar a bit.

Nice song nice atmosphere.

Unless you wanted that nasal/radio type effect on backing vocal I would be inclined to knock back the 1~4khz frequency range a bit.
also a slightly more spacious reverb setting for B/vocal to make it sit better in the mix. (but be careful with it). can easily be over done.

Depending on what equipment you have at your use, maybe double track main acoustic (or/and) maybe use stereo out from delay unit to two channels & delay one track anywhere (depends on taste) between 15~25ms to give a little more spread and maybe just slightly centre more L&R 2nd guitar parts.
I found them a little too left & right in the mix.

Sound effect in middle of song (I asume vocal sustaining note)
maybe pan slowly hard left to right.

These are only my thoughts you may well disagree with them entirely.

It`s just (food for thought).

As I said nice song and atmoshere it created, well done.

All the best for your future endeavours.

Cool man, good tips indeed. I'll consider those when i tackle the final mix. I was thinking about panning the sound effect aswell.

I just added a very subtle bass track and I'm thinking about adding some tambourine over the chorus, it may stay it may go I don't know yet.

Glad to know you get a good atmosphere out of it, I'm a bit of a filmmaker so we're planning on shooting a real nice video for this tune. Most likely at sunrise, with a lot of b roll footage. It will be epic/mysterious and add to that atmosphere for sure.
