Decode a .wav file..?

Is there a way to decode a .wav file you receive from someone? IOW, a way to see which Sample Rate, Bit Depth, Buffer Size were used?

If it's a correctly-formatted wav, your DAW should be able to display that data

If it's incorrectly formatted, then use the "import raw" feature in Audacity and keep re-importing the file using different settings until it's correct (e.g. not sped up or slowed down or distorted)

I think you can right click and select properties and it will tell you.

Buffer size isn't part of the wave format.

Your daw will also display all that info

Ahhh.. Thank you, all :-) I dropped it into a new Reaper track and Item Properties did indeed reveal the Sample Rate and Bit Depth.
