im thinking about refinishing my mex strat and tinting the fretboard and headstock...where can i get a fender speghetti style logo decal?

besides going thru fender (its easier to get a permit to carry an automatic weapon)

i have seen them on ebay too.

i think i may get some blank decal material and make one myself...on the computer. i have a friend that runs an automotive body shop and he makes his own strips and decals. i have seen examples of headstock decals on the net...it shouldn't be that hard to copy one and print it. getting the size right would be the hardest.

I would be shocked to learn that Fender would even sell you one. If I were them I would be keeping a pretty close eye on where those things went.
I think most on Ebay are either: a) stolen, or: b) fake.

Why don't you put a "jimistone" using the same spaghetti style logo instead. A lot more creative! :-)

well...its a fender so i don't have a problem with putting a fender logo on the headstock.

jimistone in spechetti logo might look pretty cool

I think you should get one that says Fender, but put it on upsidedown. A lot of bikers did that with their HD patches for a while.

About 10 years ago I managed a music store, and we got a Strat in that had a "Telecaster" decal on the headstock direct from the factory. Why, oh why didn't I buy that when I had the chance?!That upside-down-airplane stamp's worth a fortune now.
