Just announcing I have debut CD entitled Second Son, recorded, mixed, and produced entirely within my home studio on my Tascam 788. More info and sample tracks are available from my website:

My wife and I did the artwork ourselves and OasisCD did the manufacturing and packaging. I also wrote a review of the manufacturing process on another forum, available here. It may be useful for those of you contemplating a similar venture.

you also play the acoustic guitar.
I checked out a few of your songs and thought you played quite good.

the only thing I could recommend is trying to sell the cd for the very cheapest you can. you will obviously lose money, but getting your music out is the public far more important than the money itself.

Good luck and I hope you do very well

Thanks, Jeff. I took notice of your CD price. Have sales significantly improved at that reduced price?

I just put the cd on sale and I know of ~30 people that have been patiently waiting for one that have ordered. Because they are people that know me, I dont think the price matters... but for people on a budget.. it does.
I believe a lower rate will definitley help a cd sell.
Best Buy sells new artists for around $6 ???? Those things sell out immediatly.

i believe when you start selling 1 million copies with a $200,000 advertising budget then you can start charging above the $10 range
