I'm wondering if anyone has ever experienced the tone death of their tele as my friend and I have.
We are in a band together, I work on his amp/guitar/pedals, solder etc... I've been doing so for 10 years and I've never seen a problem like this. On his tele, the output of the bridge pickup seems drastically low compared to the other two positions. It had always been lower than the other two but now it was even more twangy and the very odd part is that on the bridge pick up alone, the tone knob acts as a volume knob. It almost completely cuts the bridge pup. It has the same effect it should on the other two positions so I don't believe it's the cap. I didn't rip it apart yet because we had to play several shows(at which he used a different position and eqd the amp differently)and I've been busy. Has anyone had a similar problem? It's down to a short in the wiring or dying pup to me... Thanks,
Matt M
