Deadlines

There's not much I can add that hasn't been said before. The only thing I will piggy-back on is the previous 6 guitar comments.....seems to get lost in the vocals. Great original sounding tune....the harmony vocals blended so well but seemed a little too much on the pan. It seemd like the vocals were the only items separted (spatially) in the mix.

Overall......Kick butt tune.
 
Thanks HogansHiro ... from what I'm hearing I've really struck gold with the vocals this time. I should mark shoeprints on the floor and bolt my mic stand in position ! :D

Deadlines Remixed

OK people,
I remixed this last night ... I tried to incorporate the advice I was given... actually I think it sounds much better thanks to you guys. Have another listen ... in particular the guitar and vocal panning. I'm still concerned the vocal level may now be too low ?

I didn't save the old version, but from my recollection, this is a big improvement. I was really digging the song. I loved the vocals (lead & bg).

I need a faster internet connection...

The more I listen to songs the here, the more impressed I am... I'd love to be able to download so many of these songs.

I'm on my second listen right now, and I really like it. The background vocals are really cool (I think they're background lol).

Very nice rythm... the song kind of marches along...

I like the little "yeah"s here and there. A nice little touch of confidence to add to the vocals.

adams: Thanks for your comments. Yep that snare sound gives it a real military marching type feel in places. I just didn't know what to do for drums for ages... the military snare thing can sound so poxy but on this tune it worked... in fact the whole song is surprising me... I like it much better than when I started.

Glad you noticed the Yeh's. I was planning to do some big drum fill before the chorus but when I did the background vocals that kinda just poped out cause I was having fun... when it came time to do drums I just couldn't bear to delete it or swamp it hence the silent creshendo. In the second mix I brought it out a bit more.

I know what you mean about big downloads ! Thanks for taking the time to download and listen.

I just had to bump this for people that didn't catch it...

I have this song downloaded and started listening to it again tonight. The more I hear it, the more I like it.

I love the doubled, harmonized vocals. Done really well.

It just seems to be excellently produced. Had to give others a chance to hear it.
