yes
i dont know if anyone else has this experience, but i have a white gibson les paul. when i play it, the guitar gets really dirty where my arm rubs on it. its worse if i work and then play, but it pretty much always does it.

can anyone recommend a good wax to me or something>? its fucking annoying,

thanks. :d

It's partly due to the laquer it's painted with. It reacts chemically with your sweat. This is why old goldtop pauls are often green where your arm rubs on it. I'm not sure if there is anything you can do with it. Maybe someone else has found something that works??

How about just showering? A clean arm does wonders. :D

+1 on the showering. Another option would be to wear a long sleeve shirt. Or maybe you could tie a dust cloth around your arm and polish as you play. :D

Try to anchor your arm less. Get some sweat abnds One for the wrist, and one or two for your fore arm. This all combine may help.... or not. I dunno never had this problem. The only guitar of mine that is not Black is me Zebra Wood Ibenaz accoustic, and its so purdy. :D

Leave the sweat and dirt on it and quit cleaning it off.
There are people paying damn good money to have their guitars sweated on, dirtied up, dinged to hell and back, chipped, rusted, and pretty much aged 30 years in one month.

Yours gets dirty without having to pay somebody serveral hundred dollars to put dirt on it!:D

That's pretty cool.

When I'm not wearing long sleeves, I use a (clean) tube sock with the toe end cut off pulled over my forearm and elbow.
