DC offset sound

how do you correct a DC offset from your sound card. I can do it in Sound forge, but I don't want to have to import when I'm pretty sure that CEP does it. My audio is slightly off center to the bottom side. Plus besides the sound card causing it, are there any other reasons for the audio to be offset like that? Thanks
 
DC offset can be either done in the program settings menu (a click box that says something like "Adjust DC offset when recording") or in the effects menu under Amplify there is a preset to center the wave file.
 
cool, got it, it was in my face this whole time. Thanks, by the way does this off center dealy affect the sound?

Yes and no...if you have true DC offset, then there's an audible click everytime the audio starts and/or stops. You can see it; it's where the flatline that should represent the noise floor takes a 90 degree bend to the south or north. Outside of the pops, having a funny looking wave file is not something you can hear, but it affects headroom. You cannot increase the volume of a lopsided wave form as much as a symmetrical one without clipping.
