Has anyone tried the Dbx 386 mike pre if so what did you think of it?

I've only had it a week but I like it.
Previously only had the pres in my Portastudio.....
On the down side, it doesn't hold the digital settings (word length, bit rate, output format etc.) when you power down. So when I turn it on I have to push three more buttons several times to switch it from the default to S/PDIF/16 bit/44.1KHz.
I like the individual switch on each channel for phantom power and the 12 segment LED meter that can be read as digital or analog.
This because these outputs are independently adjustable. Haven't needed the 20dB pad or the low cut filter or the phase reverse, but they look cool on the front panel.
