So, what drives your studio? :)

This poll is open for 90 days, so cast your vote now!

Hopefully this can be repeated annually to build up a snapshot of each year.

"Logic Pro" is meant to just be Logic (Express and Pro) - I can't change it now :(

[Apologies to Albeton Live, Samplitude, Tracktion, Nuendo or Motu DP users (and any other DAW which I had to miss off)... I had to narrow it to 11 + other]

I put Cubase... but it's actually Cubase LE. (found that was closer than 'other'). And I do use Reaper a little bit...

I use Cubase 4. I'll be upgrading to Cubase 5 when it's available in Australia :)

Hmm, I didn't think about Cubase LE. I'd just class it as Cubase.

The reason I seperated PT LE and HD is that they are quite different (one is host-based, the other runs on dedicated DSP cards). I suspect there will be many PT LE users here, but very few HD.

ok only one????? geez ok I work a drum track in acid 4.0. Dump it in pro tools then work all my main instrument tracks. Then dump back to acid lay all the synth and backing tracks then Dump back into pro tools for mix automation burn a stereo 2 track then edit all the 2 track stuff in cool edit pro 1.2 then sometimes dump that in vegas an do video editing :D

Hahaa, I guess I should've made it a multi-option poll then :D
I think the majority of people will have one which they use the most though, even if they might occasionally flick to others.

And CEP, I knew there was another one I'd forgotten! Unfortunately the poll had a maximum of 12 options so I tried to chose the ones which would probably be most popular.

I use Cubase right now (LE to be precise) but will probably upgrade to the full version of Reaper (not a fan of dongles, so no Cubase 4/5 for me).

I use Sonar 8PE. I have Reaper installed, but I haven't done much with it other than countless remixes of that "Making Me Nervous" song. :D (I plan on diving into it a little more once v3 is out)

logic is great for me. I love the included effects and synths even though I don't have all of them because i have logic express, but it's still great. sometimes i wish i could load vsts though... i could use ping pong delay, instead of having to use 3 efx to get the same effect in logic.

I always mess with that demo too. :D

Cuuuuubase.

I'm surprised by the lack of protool'ers? I thought that program generally owned the music world compared to other non-free programs?

Pro Tools

I thought that Pro Tools was the industry standard in recording software for professionals?
May not be the case for home studios.
This Pole should be interesting.
