I've attached a screen shot of my shopping cart from newegg.com.

Audio Interface: Delta 1010

OS/Software:

What do you guys think? I'll be running a dual monitor system from my video card.

Why 2 160GB drives?

My DAW is almost identical to what you're building and I have a 60GB for apps and a 120GB for audio files. I would think you could get by with much less HD for your apps.

Just my 2¢...

HDs are getting so cheap now, it's not worth looking at anything under 120MB.

Just make sure you get 8MB cache with those barracudas.

That DAW should absolutely f*kin fly

whats the fortron? is that the PSU? if so i'd be looking at 350 and up

also if your not in need of recording more then 2 tracks at a time i'd take a look at the lynxtwo L22 or the lynxone...the lynxtwo I know kills the delta 1010 sonically, the lynxone is said not to be to far behind it(lynxtwo that is)...

check'em out

I would definitely go with a heftier PS, at least 350 watts. And I prefer the Zalman AlCu over the pure copper, just because the pure copper is so much heavier. Either one will cool your CPU more than adequately, even if you overclock.
